The Rocky Mountain Chapter BMW CCA has adopted MotorsportReg.com to handle all of our event registration and payment processing. MotorsportReg.com was created by a member of the Golden Gate Chapter (San Francisco Bay Area) BMW CCA member and has become very powerful and configurable over the years. MotorsportReg enables payment by either credit card or electronic funds transfer from your checking account. Registration and payment are tightly linked, eliminating the separate register – then pay steps that our prior event registration system required. There are a few things that will be helpful to know before you register for your first event. 1. You can always find the list of upcoming RMC driving events at our MotorsportReg “landing zone”: http://rmcbmwcca.motorsportreg.com 2. You must create an account on MotorsportReg before you can register for one of our events. Your account will track your event history, the cars in your garage and the features you previously entered into RMC’s proprietary system. 3. Every driver must have their own, unique account on MotorsportReg.com. You cannot have multiple drivers within one account like our old system. Furthermore, each driver/account must have a UNIQUE email address. 4. You must be a member of BMW CCA to participate in many of our events, so PLEASE enter your CCA number when you create your MotorsportReg account. The system automatically checks membership for us, eliminating a cumbersome manual step. If you are not currently a member, you can always add your membership number after joining at http://www.bmwcca.org 5. One MotorsportReg account can be used to register for events with many different car clubs. Both the SCCA and PCA locally use MotorsportReg too. 6. Because it is used for so many different driving & racing events, MotorsportReg supports data that we do not need. When you fill in information on your car, all we really need is the year, make, model and color. The other fields may be left blank if they do not apply to you. 7. There are two “club” definitions for RMC BMW CCA within MotorsportReg: “BMW CCA – Rocky Mountain – Driving Schools” and “BMW CCA – Rocky Mountain – Autocross”. You can pre-specify these as clubs whose events you wish to track. Alternatively, you will be linked to these clubs upon registering for the respective event type. 8. Payment information is required at the time of event registration. Actual charges against your account will be deferred until event registration closes. Note however that each event has its own cancellation policy and associated cancellation fees. • Registration for the Spring Driving School at High Plains Raceway on May 22-23 opens on March 28th at noon via MotorsportReg.com. Students, instructors and volunteers will be registered through the same process. If you haven’t been to High Plains you have missed a fantastic new track! Come join us – no experience is necessary. • Please encourage friends, family and students to come out and volunteer for our driving schools! Registration has been especially configured to allow folks to participate on one day and volunteer on the other. • Registration will open soon for the April 25th Autocross School and Warm-Up event at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park (Commerce City, CO). Watch for more details in the Yahoo! Group forums, at http://www.rmcbmwcca.org and on http://rmcbmwcca.motorsportreg.com. Rocky Mountain BMW CCA |
